20 X Juan Carlos Green Bean Pouches
Who is Juan Carlos?
Juan Carlos Munguia’s father began tending to their Nicaraguan coffee estate, Santa Martha, in 1994. Living close to nature, Juan Carlos also makes caring for the surrounding ecosystem and community a priority.
Certifications like theirs from the Rainforest Alliance isn’t corporate 'greenwashing’. The Walnut, cypress and oak trees planted through the estate’s permanent reforestation program gives back to the local ecology, making his exceptional coffee possible. The Farm follows all the rules and guidelines set by Rainforest Alliance to ensure sustainable agriculture. The coffee plantation itself is managed on a selective pruning program to maintain a consistent production volume. Sustainable use of inputs and hand labor minimizes the environmental impact and maintains the ecosystem of the farm.
As you can tell, since the beginning, the farm was developed with the purpose of preserving the environment, flora and fauna, building a thriving community for the workers and with the mission of quality, sustainability and commitment.
The coffee is grown 800-1100 meters above sea level and shade-grown, Juan Carlos’s beans are an edgy medium roast high on citrus, with notes of roasted almonds, raisins and chocolate.
