Who are Flor De Corazon?
Located in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico within the Sierra Madre Oriental, there is San Mateo Yoloxochitlán, home to a group of organic farms. More than coffee farms, these are small family businesses.
The picking is done by all the members of the family as they divide into groups and take turns going on the journey for harvesting. Flor de Corazón is the name and coffee blend from these families inhabitants of the small town of San Mateo Yoloxochitlán in the Cañada region of northern Oaxaca, near to the point where the states of Veracruz, Puebla and Oaxaca meet.
Yoloxochitlán in the native language of Nahuatl translates to Flor de Corazón, Flower of the Heart in English. This itself is a type of flower which hangs in the shape of a pink heart. This medicinal herb has been used for centuries for homeopathic remedies. In this instance, it is also a colorful name to represent a beautiful coffee from a beautiful region of Oaxaca.
One of our Head of Roastings' most loved beans. This blend varietal is truly bright and balanced with strong notes of Apple Pudding, Raisins, Prune, Cherries, Rose and Black Tea.
